Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you ("you", "your") and OneLuton ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the OneLuton website builder, the websites you publish with it, our free tools, LutonIQ, and all related services available at luton.one. One set of Terms covers every product. Where a section applies to only one product, we say so.

By creating an account or using OneLuton, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of entering a legally binding contract. If you use OneLuton on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account.
Notify us immediately via if you suspect unauthorised use.
You may not share your account, transfer it to another person, or operate multiple accounts to circumvent limits.

3. The service

OneLuton provides tools to design, generate, edit, and publish websites, free business tools, and LutonIQ, a local intelligence assistant. Features include:

AI-assisted site and content generation
A visual website builder with multiple sections and pages
Hosting on a OneLuton subdomain
Privacy-friendly visitor analytics
Contact form and newsletter submission storage
Free tools such as invoice, quote and rate calculators
LutonIQ local research, with a daily question allowance

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes that materially reduce functionality.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use OneLuton to create, host, transmit, or distribute content or activity that:

Is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or violent
Infringes intellectual property, trade marks, or privacy rights of others
Contains malware, viruses, phishing, scams, or deceptive content
Promotes illegal goods or services, regulated activities without proper authority, or content that exploits minors
Sends unsolicited bulk email (spam) using contacts collected through your site
Attempts to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service
Resells OneLuton as a white-label product without a written agreement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules. Where a breach is serious or repeated, we may do so immediately and without refund.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you upload, create, or generate using OneLuton("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to use it (including images, logos, text, and any third-party content embedded via Code Embed sections).

6. AI-generated content and LutonIQ

AI-generated text and selections are provided as a starting point. You are responsible for reviewing all content before publishing.
AI output may occasionally be inaccurate, generic, or unsuitable. We make no guarantee of accuracy, fitness for purpose, or originality.
Stock images suggested through integrated providers are subject to those providers' licences.

LutonIQ

LutonIQ gives general information about Luton and nearby towns, including business, housing, education and living. It is not legal, financial, tax, planning or other professional advice.
Each answer shows how strong its evidence is. Figures, rules, fees and deadlines change, so check anything important with the official source or a qualified adviser before you act on it.
LutonIQ is free with a daily question allowance. We may change the allowance to keep the service fair and sustainable.
You must not use LutonIQ to break the law, harass anyone, or try to extract, copy or overload the service.
You may use, print and share your own answers and exports.

7. Hosting and availability

We aim to keep the service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance, third-party service outages and force majeure events may cause downtime. We will not be liable for losses arising from such interruptions.

8. Fees and billing

OneLuton is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans:

Pricing will be clearly displayed before you subscribe.
Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically unless cancelled.
You can cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the paid period.
Refunds are not provided for partial periods unless required by UK consumer law.
Sites built during the free period remain yours; you'll be given reasonable notice before any feature requires a paid plan.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that harms others or the platform. On termination:

Your published sites will be taken offline.
Successful account deletion removes your sign-in account, profile, websites and associated records, saved invoices, quotes, customers, tool profile, numbering and owned uploads. If cleanup fails, deletion stops and reports the problem. Downloaded files, shared copies and browser data on other devices cannot be erased remotely. Backups, security logs, support correspondence and records required by law have separate retention under the Privacy Policy. Contact us for a wider privacy request.

10. Intellectual property

OneLuton, including the platform, builder UI, templates, designs, code, brand, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it as intended. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create competing products from it.

11. Third-party services

OneLuton relies on trusted third-party services for hosting, data storage, sign-in, image sourcing and AI features. Your use of these is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services' availability or content.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Subject to that, our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the greater of (a) £100, or (b) the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or loss of data.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers may bring proceedings in their country of residence where required by law.
