Cookie Policy

What cookies and similar technologies we use, and how to manage them.

Last updated: 24 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how OneLuton uses cookies and similar storage technologies on luton.one, including LutonIQ at luton.one/iq (and subdomains such as support.luton.one), and on websites published using OneLuton. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

We follow the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR: strictly necessary cookies are set automatically; all other cookies and storage are only set with your consent.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB, used for the same purposes as cookies. In this policy, cookies refers to all of them.

2. Categories of cookies we use

Analytics (consent-based)

We provide privacy-friendly visitor analytics on published OneLuton sites. We record aggregated page views, referrers, and device/country information. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, do not store full IP addresses, and do not build cross-site profiles. Analytics is only active where the site owner has enabled it and the visitor has accepted the cookie banner.

Third-party cookies (only if a site owner adds them)

OneLuton includes a "Code Embed" feature that lets site owners add third-party scripts to their own websites, for example analytics tools, advertising scripts, chat widgets, or embedded maps. These third parties may set their own cookies. Each site owner is responsible for disclosing those cookies in their site's own cookie notice and obtaining appropriate consent.

3. Managing your preferences

Cookie banner

On published OneLuton sites, you'll see a cookie banner the first time you visit. You can Accept or Reject non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies will still be set so the site can function.

Withdrawing or changing consent

You can change your choice at any time using the button below. The cookie banner will reopen and you can update your preferences.

You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings; note that some features (such as staying signed in) will stop working.

Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies. Useful guides:

4. Do Not Track

Our analytics is privacy-friendly by design and respects your cookie banner choice. "Do Not Track" browser signals are not yet a recognised standard, but we do not engage in cross-site tracking regardless.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or change features. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version.
